CHOOSING THE RIGHT TIMBER FOR YOU Teak: A term used to describe certain types of hardwood native to southern and southeastern Asia. Especially prevalent in India, teak wood has natural oils and high-quality grain, making it valuable in furniture and homewares. Mango Wood: This exotic timber is created by aged mango trees at the end of their 'fruiting' life. Its golden grain is infamous for its beauty and consistency, while its light weight is proven to be quite favourable. Sheesham Wood: Also known as 'Indian Rosewood' and 'Taahli' and 'Indian Teak', this wood is generally found in Northern India. Sheesham timber is very hard and durable, allowing it to have a great resistancy to decay. The unique colouring of Sheesham timber is clarifying when the wood is hand waxed.
